What are your predictions for the World Series?
All the way BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How do you know when you are done studying? When is that magical hour wherein you decide you know enough to make the grade? I've never quite been able to gage when this happens, hence my making B's or C's when I could've put in more time or making 100's and having wasted time. It's like economics, see. If you fill the stadium, the tickets were too cheap. If you almost fill it, they were properly priced. Therefore, a 90+ = sufficient studying and a 100 is just plain wasted effort, not to mention showing off.
Well, I have two tests on which to test this theory in the next 28 hours, so here's hoping. ; )
Despite the scandal of his recent arrest, Sen. Larry Craig is being inducted into the Idaho Hall of Fame. Should his legal troubles have any impact on the award?
If a senator like Mr. Craig is all Idaho has to be proud of, let 'em have him!
"Could we please stop talking about it now? I mean, we might as well sit around discussing whether or not Britney Spears deserved to have her children taken away.
::shudder::"
Soooo that was this morning prior to reading this:
HAHAHAHAHAHA...Thank you, Senator.
What experience or moment in your life have you learned the most from?

I definitely think that meeting Matt (my husband) the first time around changed my whole outlook. I was in high school and fell in love with him singing in the front of church preparing for a youth Sunday. He seemed so vibrant and warm, full of life. I loved him from that instant, but I never told him any of it. Over the next year we got fiercely close and then grew back apart as friends. It never went any further than a steamy make-out session one night early in our friendship. Later, he decided to go back to an old girlfriend who never worked out. He knew my best friend I and would strongly disapprove, so he just backed away. After that, I found out my family had been transferred, and we didn't talk much. As I drove away from his house for the last time, Insensitive came on the radio, and I cried all the way home. Only later did I realize that I had never told him how I felt. I don't know if anything could have been changed just by me being honest. I'm glad it wasn't any different now, of course, but from that moment on, I have told as many people as possible exactly how I feel about them, openly and honestly. I tell my girlfriends when they're looking particularly foxy. I would tell boys I liked them more than friends. In fact, five years later, Matt came around a second time after getting out of the military and away from his ex-wife, and I was not going to let him slip away again. We talked on the phone ridiculously, like junior high all over again. One night he talked about going to a Bible study at church to get close to women again. He talked about the group as he always talked about fresh, new conquests. I know "conquests" sounds bad, but that's what it really was to him: a big game, and he is REALLY good at it. Even now, when Matt and I get separated at a party, I just look for the group of women giggling. ; ) I stopped him after he told his story and made my confession, afraid to lose him to someone else a second time. It turns out he's always thought I was pretty special, too. : )
See what a little open communication can accomplish?
HOOORAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Expect great things...coming soon...
:-D
I added new photos today. I'll write on them soon. For now, this is the best I could do. I just got back from the intern event in downtown Houston and feel so ill, I have to stay at work for a bit. Ugh..
What other names did your parents consider for you?
Christopher Dean Lambert. In fact, they didn't just consider it. That WAS it...but WOOPS! I turned out to be a girl, so Dad went out into the hall and thought up my first name and Mum thought up my middle name (or vice versa...I can never remember). Funny how ultrasounds still give false information 24 years later. ; )
Alright ::cracks knuckles:: Here goes nothin'
Last week at work was pretty good. I got to go to the marsh we're building down in Port Arthur which was pretty cool..minus the deer flies...which bite by the way...hard..like blood drawing hard. ::snarl:: I felt like much less of a wuss though since the guy I was with was also frantically slapping around his head. heeee We collected our plants, checked out a gator slide, and headed back to the main site. Then we took an air boat ride to see all the terraces they were building. All in all, pretty cool stuff...but I'm sooo not down with bugs..especially not the biting kind.
Then on Thursday I got my Red Wing Steel-toed boots for FREE!!!! BOO YAH!!! LOVE THEM LOVE THEM LOVE THEM...it's like the best new pair of shoes ever. I wore them for three days straight before becoming satisfied that the boots fit well. I'll send pictures as soon as I get them.
Then a tragedy happened on Friday...Matt and Skyler had a disagreement ending with Skyler in shock and Matt punctured and scratched (a nice long one across his wrist that looks REALLY appropriate...sigh). I had to talk Matt into letting Sky back into the house and then had to coax her out of shock from behind the wine rack when I got home. Matt was pissed that I stuck up for the cat, but what the heck am I supposed to do? She's a freaking cat..it's not like she had a personal vendetta or anything..she was obviously just really scared...and later Matt admitted that he would've felt really sad if she had left for good. Then Matt went to work, got fired, and came home. Good day for us. At least they fired him before his shift on Friday so we could have the whole weekend together...frikkin...it's really messing with Matt's head too. He's never been fired before and the jerk that did it said it was for "failure to follow procedure." Matt called the head manager the next day b/c that just didn't sound right. Sure enough he actually was fired b/c he only worked 15 hours a week and they didn't need him (he said he could work 40 but the sickness wouldn't let him, so he had to trim his hours...so they trimmed him). Now he's back on the job hunt...we'll see how it works out...here's hoping
Memorial Day was great. We barbecued and wow...it was freaking amazing. I marinated the ribs overnight in a mixture of Steak and Chop, Louisiana red pepper, and Mesquite and Lime marinades with onions and jalapenos thrown in for good measure. We simmered them in the oven for about an hour and a half and then grilled them outside. It turns out that Matt is a damn good grill cook. He just didn't ever do it on the gas grill b/c he thought it was cheating..haha I buy him a damn $30 grill from wal mart and he cooks up a storm! I also made twice-baked potatoes (with sour cream, chive and onion cream cheese, mexican shredded cheese, real chives, and a touch of milk) without the skins...they were more Mashed-then-Baked potatoes...regardless, they were amazing...and all gone...hahaha The boys brought over meat for making burgers and some shrimp. We also made corn (buttered and seasoned, wrapped in foil, and grilled) and asparagus (the same way). I ate myself silly and drank myself quite the same (I LOVE ZIEGEN BOCK!). It was a good time until this morning when I had to wake up at 4 to get to work on time in Houston...plus I couldn't sleep since I spent hte weekend staying up late with Matt...
Today at work was good...I started doing audit summaries...which suck, but I guess I have to do some boring intern stuff or else it just wouldn't make sense. I got off at 4, came home, ran for 45 minutes (oh heck yeah) on this really nice dirt path that would be infinitely nicer if it didn't run behind Randall's (food trash = death on the heaving lungs) and a wastewater treatment plant (ew..just ew), and had a cooking catastrophe that was barely salvaged by the extreme efforts of Ms Penny and I...hahaha....the breakfast burritos turned out fantastic anyhow and everyone really liked them.
Alright..it's 10 freaking 30 and time for Meg to go to bed....I gotta be up at the buttcrack of dawn yet again...::sigh::
Goodnight!!!!!
